Reflection on Digital Story
By making this digital story, I learned a novel and effective way of communication. It is easy: I used iMovie to make this story with few former experience, so it is quite accessible for everyone to give it a shot. On the other side, I encountered some difficulties during the process, for example, to decide how many pictures I should present (showing too many pictures will distract audience from the story itself;) or in which way I can better organize my script. In search of answers to these kinds of questions, I approached much new knowledge of both writing and technology. I quoted a short piece of video of Paula Deen, whose words closely relates to my topic, in order to give my argument a strong support. Before doing so, I consulted a reference librarian in the school Woodruff Library about copyright and citation. Following his advice, I created an attribution for the part I cited. Also, I learned many creative skills from my classmates' masterpiece in our in-class presentation, and I made an attribution. I will try to put them into practice next time. This way of communicating works not only to deliver information, but also in an interesting and enjoyable way. I totally love this assignment. And I said, it worth trying!
Hope you enjoy this little story. :D
