Reflection on the [Portfolio Website]
It is my first time to make a website to present my work to the audience of various identities. The body of the potential audience is very diverse: not only my classmates and Dr. Lauren Holt will visit my website, but also people who I do not know about at Emory are possible to come here. I am pleasant to demonstrate my ideas in this convenient and efficient way. I look forward to receiving more feedback from people who have viewed my work. However, to obtain this advantage, I need to think more about my readers. Therefore, I tended to be more careful when I designed this site and arranged my work on it. I thought from the audience's perspective, to find out how to make every piece of my work easier to access. Therefore, I created a category for each theme(KEYBOARD+PEN, TONE, EYE, ELECTRONIC, NONVERBAL.) In this way, my audience get the chance to decide whether they would like to see specific material, instead of spending much time on work which they are less interested in. At the same time, I quoted several writers' words on each of the sub-pages. I believe in this way, I made my website more interesting. Moreover, because those writers are all well-known and master writing, both my audience and I will acquire inspiration from reading what they said, improving our writing skills. I have been excited about this portfolio website since I first created my account. I wish to hear from your suggestions and critics(Please click on the HOME button on the top left to leave your valuable advice for me.) Thank you very much! :)
